The Best Part of War Dogs is Jonah Hill’s Performance

That’s not to say the rest of the film wasn’t awesome as well. War Dogs is based on a true story of two 20-something year olds who somehow landed a contact with the American government to sell them 100 million rounds of amunition.

Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill) offers childhood friend David Packouz (Miles Teller) a chance to make a ton of money by becoming an international arms dealer. Jonah Hill plays the bad-influence friend who seems like trouble from the first time he appears in the movie: wearing black sunglasses and a suit, walking into a funeral with a lot of confidence.

The movie is told from the perspective of David Packouz, who is a massage therapist living in Miami with his girlfriend. He seems to be at a pretty low point in his life, so after he finds out his girlfriend is pregnant, he has no choice but to accept Efraim’s offer. He ends up almost getting killed several times, but he also drives a Porsche and gets an apartment overlooking the ocean. They cross paths with some really shady people along the way, includingHenry Girard which is played by Bradley Cooper. From Iraq, Jordan to Armenia, this movie will take you on an adventure.

Efraim’s character is portrayed as a manipulative, low tempered, calculative dude with a big ego. Hill was so convincing, you could predict what he was thinking just from his facial expressions.

If you’re looking for a reason to go see the movie, Jonah Hill’s performance is more than enough. The movie is also fills its action packed requirements with a few one-liners that will have you laughing. Oh, and there’s a pretty girl in it.war_dogs_0
